India is a free country and our constitution provides us the Right of Expression. When I see the current challenges faced by my country, I thought whether there are any solutions for that. As an Indian it is my responsibility too to think towards the resolution of these problems. So with this idea I am starting a series of blogs to suggest my solution for the problems faced by India.

As India is an agrarian country (कृषिप्रधान देश), so I dedicated my first blog of the series to the problem faced in this most important area.

Farmers and agriculture are the back bone of India but the conditions of farmers are really very bad in some states.  If compare then states like Punjab and Haryana, the condition is far better than other states. The encouragement for farming is very less and farmers are bound to migrate to other states for better job prospects. We can improve the situation of the farmers by implementing new methods of farming and involving agriculture institutes to help in this direction. We will encourage Organic Farming so that farmer will get more value for their products and people will get safe and hygienic products to consume.

We will establish new ways for selling product direct to retail and wholesale buyers, so that farmer will sell their product directly and on standard market price. We will establish Mandi’s (Farmer’s Market) in every villages and cities so that farmers will easily sell their product. The standard market price will be set by the government according to the quality of product and the farmers can sell their product on or above those rates.

All farmers and their families will get life insurance and medical insurance of Rs. 1 Lac at least with nominal premium and government will contribute the rest of the premium. Farmers will also get their crops and cattle insured as per the crops cultivated, and made insurance is mandatory for every farmer. For this purpose we will spread awareness of the benefits of insurance.

Best Infrastructure like roads, water, electricity etc. and medical facilities will be available in all the villages, also government will ensure proper functioning of these facilities time to time with their local coordinator who will be resident’s welfare of same village and works under Panchyatiraj. Every farmer should have their saving bank accounts in the name of him and his spouse in bank located nearby, all the subsidies/relief fund for which the farmers are eligible will be directly credited to their accounts and will get pre and post intimation on their mobile phones. So that they will ensure that correct amount gets credited in their account. The same information will also be available on government websites. In case of non-receipt of any subsidiaries or any relief fund, there will be grievance redressal cell, which will support the farmer and resolve the issue with in stated turnaround time.

We will generate jobs for handling all these activities and ensure participation from educated people within the villages, so that they will understand the problems better.
